Have Chelsea Won The League Now

Last night we was pivotal in the Premier League race as Chelsea beat Manchester City by 2 goals to 1 with Eden Hazard scoring both goals. The result was important because many have seen Tottenham potentially catching them in the race with them only 7 points behind going into the game.
Tottenham produced a last minute display coming back from 1 goal down to winning 3-1 with all spurs goals coming back within the last 15 minutes.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are now only 6 wins away from finishing the job, however the Tottenham Hotspur captain Vertongen has stated that the next 2 games are just as important as those from last night.

Many pundits and fans think the the title has been decided many weeks ago and it is surprising that the title race is still slightly competitive. Whilst Chelsea have been seen to have dominated the League this season credit is due to Spurs for slowly but surely winning their games and keeping Chelsea on edge.

Chelsea are looking very strong. We can’t stop pushing and dreaming of that league but they had a big win against City and obviously the gap is still seven points.
‘They have got a couple of difficult games coming up and we have to keep winning and hopefully they get a bit stressed.’

There are only 8 games remaining in the league and from calculations this brings the potential crowning of the champions to the middle of May. It is highly likely to be Chelsea and no one is backing against them but maybe, just maybe there is a chance that they can push them all the way.

Chelsea play away against both Bournemouth and Manchester United in the next 2 games and anything but 2 wins will surely put pressure on themselves, that is if Tottenham can win their games against Watford and Bournemouth, both at White Hard Lane.  Get all your Chelsea football news from e-soccer.com
